RSAI Annual Meeting
RSAI members gather together at the RSAI Annual Meeting each October. The Annual Meeting is an important opportunity for members to connect, share information, and engage in the organization's legislative and leadership processes.
Annual Meeting agendas include:
- Report on various business aspects of the RSAI organization, including the annual audit, the annual budget, professional advocate payment(s), and annual membership dues schedule.
- Election of At-Large Representative(s) to the RSAI Leadership Group.
- Discussion around actions from the most recent Iowa legislative session, the upcoming election cycle, and/or advocacy initiatives. Often includes an outside presentation on issues important to rural school districts.
- Report from the RSAI Legislative Committee
- Discussion and adoption of the organization's legislative priority issues for the upcoming session.
- Discussion of any recommendations related to the organization's vision, mission or bylaws.
Attendance at the RSAI Annual Meeting is open to Affiliate Members, school district superintendents, school business officials, board members, and individuals on the leadership track (regardless of the RSAI membership status).
Voting is limited to one vote per RSAI member. Other attendees may participate by invitation.
There is no cost to attend the RSAI Annual Meeting.
