RSAI Regional Meetings (Spring 2025)

The 2025 RSAI Regional Meetings were held in April and May 2025 at the locations listed below. At each meeting, there was a recap of the 2025 Legislative Session (to date), input was gathered for the 2026 RSAI Legislative Priorities, election of RSAI Leadership Group regional representative(s) took place if their term was up for election, election of Legislative Committee representatives for the 2025-26 school year, and sharing about RSAI history and efforts. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members (regardless of RSAI membership status or the district's AEA partner); however, voting was limited to one vote per RSAI member district. There was no cost to attend these meetings.

RSAI Regional Meetings (Spring 2024)

The 2024 RSAI Regional Meetings took place in April and May 2024, after the AEA Superintendent's meetings at the noted locations. At each meeting, there was a recap of the 2024 Legislative Session (to date), input for 2025 RSAI Legislative Priorities, election of RSAI Leadership Group regional representative(s) if their term is up for election, election of Legislative Committee representatives for the 2024-25 school year, and sharing about RSAI. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members (regardless of RSAI membership status or your district's AEA partner), however, voting is limited to one vote per RSAI member district.  There is no cost to attend these meetings.

The 2023 RSAI Regional Meetings took place in April and May 2023, before or after the AEA Superintendent's Meeting at the noted locations. At each meeting, we recapped the 2023 Legislative Session to date, sought input for 2024 RSAI Legislative Priorities, elected RSAI Leadership Group regional representative(s) if their term is up for election, elected Legislative Committee representatives for the 2024 session, and shared more about RSAI. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members (regardless of RSAI membership status or your district's AEA partner), however, voting was limited to one vote per RSAI member district. Rather than a full legislative session update presentation during the meeting, we prepared short videos by topic for review before attending. Listening to these short videos will prepare attendees to discuss issues that should be priorities for the 2024 Session. Please watch them before the meeting, if you can, a total of 50 minutes for all 7 videos. It would also be helpful to review the RSAI April 20th Weekly Report for details on final legislation regarding the Governor's Education Priorities of Chapter 12 Flexibility SF 391 and Transparency and Parents' Rights SF 496.

The 2022 RSAI Regional Meetings took place in April and May 2022, before or after the AEA Superintendent's Meeting at the noted locations. At each meeting, we recapped the 2022 Legislative Session to date, sought input for 2023 RSAI Legislative Priorities, elected RSAI Leadership Group regional representative(s) if their term is up for election, elected Legislative Committee representatives for the 2023 session, and shared more about RSAI. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members (regardless of RSAI membership status or your district's AEA partner), however, voting was limited to one vote per RSAI member district. RSAI Regional Meetings (May 2021)

The 2021 RSAI Regional Meetings took place in May 2021. At each meeting, we recapped the 2021 Legislative session, sought input for 2022 Legislative Priorities, elected leadership for the NE regional representative, elected legislative committee representatives for the 2022 session, and shared more about RSAI. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members (regardless of RSAI membership status), however voting was limited to one vote per member district. RSAI Regional Meetings (July 2020)

RSAI hosted a Zoom gathering for each of the four RSAI regions during July 2020. This was an opportunity to learn a little more about the RSAI organization, advocacy priorities, and member benefits. We reviewed details of new flexibilities in SF 2310, Online Learning and COVID Flexibility. Additionally, new RSAI Corporate Partners from BoardWorks Education shared a brief overview of their instructional software, which engages students with or without an Internet connection and assists teachers in delivering quality, standards-based lessons with fidelity.

The 2020 RSAI Regional Meetings were held to recap the 2020 Legislative session, seek input for 2021 Legislative Priorities, elect leadership for the SE and NW regions, as well as at-large representation, and share more about RSAI. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members (regardless of RSAI membership status), however, voting was limited to one vote per member district. There was no cost to attend.

RSAI Regional Meetings (Summer 2019)

The following meetings were held discussing the 2019 Legislative session and input was sought for 2020 Legislative Priorities. These meetings were open to all district Superintendents, School Business Officials, and Board Members. There was no cost to attend.  Thank you to all who joined us!
